RIM
Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) is a traditional manufacturing process in which products, often made of polyurethane, are produced by reacting two components. This process typically takes place under high pressure in a closed mould. The RIM process is particularly suitable for producing complex shapes and large parts with a high degree of precision and durability.
Since 2021, we have upgraded and further automated our installation to reduce cycle times and production costs. With this new system, we can serve our customers even better by offering more efficient production and higher quality.
Advantages of RIM
Minimal shrinkage
Products manufactured using the RIM process exhibit minimal shrinkage, resulting in accurate and consistent dimensions.
Paintable surface and no sink marks
The surfaces of RIM products are easy to paint and show no sink marks, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Very short production time
The RIM process has a very short production cycle, allowing products to be manufactured quickly and efficiently.
Very high impact resistance
RIM products have very high impact resistance, making them suitable for applications where durability and resistance to impact are essential.
Low (mould) costs
The costs for making moulds for the RIM process are relatively low, making it a cost-effective option for both small and large production runs.
